Life Networks Day

Life Networks Day is a one-day conference to build partnerships between national and state bodies, organisations and community members.
Suicide Prevention Australia, beyondblue, Wesley Mission and the Black Dog Institute are coming together to discuss how community networks can be equipped for the future.
What will be covered
Wesley LifeForce and Suicide Prevention Australia are announcing an opportunity for Life Networks members to have a voice in how suicide prevention is put into practise at a state and national level. Participants are updated on the latest national strategies and their impact on local projects.
The conference includes: keynote addresses; audience participation; panel discussion; question and answer sessions; and seminars which consider:
- building corporate partnerships
- understanding your legal obligations
- effective web design
- marketing and community relations

The Life Networks Day encourages a two-way conversation between industry experts and community networks. Participants are able to partner with state and national organisations and find out what other Networks are doing.

Representatives from the following state and national bodies will be speaking at the event:
Suicide Prevention Australia (SPA)
SPA is a non-profit, community organisation working as a public health advocate in suicide and self-harm prevention. SPA supports individuals and organisations throughout Australia.
beyondblue
beyondblue is a national, independent, non-profit organisation working to address issues associated with depression, anxiety and related substance misuse disorders in Australia.
Black Dog Institute
Black Dog Institute is a non-profit, educational, research, clinical and community-oriented facility offering specialist expertise in depression and bipolar disorder.
Wesley LifeForce
Wesley LifeForce is a suicide prevention program aiming to educate, empower and resource Australian communities to be aware of the issues of suicide.
Wesley LifeForce is working with communities to develop Suicide Prevention Networks, known as Life Networks. These networks are designed to provide a framework for the development of localised suicide prevention.
